Ivan Zaldua Azkuenaga
Licensed in law (specialised in legal-financial affairs) by the University of Deusto (1999) and holding a Master's Degree in Tax Consultancy from the Instituto de Empresa (2000), with an outstanding 'cum laude' qualification, Ivan Zaldua started his professional career in the tax department at KPMG (2000-2001) and later at Cuatrecasas (2001-2009).
With more than 20 years of professional practice, Ivan Zaldua specializes in national and international tax advice for individuals and, in particular, for artists and sportsmen, a sector in which he has extensive experience. From his vocation to attend people's needsof advice, Ivan also advises numerous family businesses.
Ivan combines his professional activity with teaching. He has been a professor at the IE Law School for more than 7 years, an institution that he continues to collaborate with, and is currently a professor in the Master of Tax Consultancy at The University of Deusto.
Author of several specialized articles and co-author of the manuals 'Como planificar la Sucesión' (AFI 2001) and 'Comentarios al impuesto sobre la Renta de las Personas Físicas' (Aranzadi 2003).
In 2021 and 2022 Iván has been recognized by the North American Publication Best Lawyer.

Since 1955, the objective of the Spanish Association of Financial Law (AEDF) has been the study of taxation issues from both a legal and economic or financial point of view.
It is open to tax experts, university professors, students, financial and economic advisers of companies or public entities, lawyers, magistrates, finance officials and, in general, to all those interested.
The association places a special emphasis on the international arena, being a member of both the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Latin American Institute of Tax Law (ILADT).
International Fiscal Association (IFA)
The "International Fiscal Association (IFA)" was established in 1938 as the only international and non-sectoral non-governmental organization to deal with tax matters. Its headquarters are in the Netherlands. The objectives of IFA are the study and advancement of international and comparative law with regard to public finances. More specifically international and comparative tax law and the economic aspects of taxation.
